Please support the monthly Food Bank "Brown Bag"
On the first Sunday of the month, St. Ambrose parishioners show their generosity by “brown bagging” donations for the local food pantry. Please consider bringing a bag of non-perishable food or cleaning products. Just leave your bag in the vestibule as you arrive for Mass. Thank you!

Holy Week Schedule
For those who like to plan ahead...here are the times of our Holy Week liturgies:

• Holy Thursday, April 2: Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper,
   7:00 p.m. at St. Ambrose.

• Good Friday, April 3: the Lord's Passion,
   3:00 p.m. at St. Michael
   7:00 p.m. at St. Ambrose.

• Easter Vigil, April 4: Easter Vigil Mass,
   7:00 p.m. at St. Ambrose.

• Easter Sunday, April 5: Masses
   8:30 and 11:15 am at St. Ambrose
   9:00 am at St. Michael.

CCD and Youth Ministry News

  • CCD Candy Sale - Candy orders will be at CCD Sunday, March 22. Candy bar sales continue. All money for both orders and candy bars is due by March 29.
  • CCD and Youth Ministry There will be no classes Sunday, April 5. Classes will resume on Sunday, April 12.

The Parish Social Life Committee will host a light reception following the Easter Vigil to welcome the newest member of our Church family. Please plan to join us.

Rummage Sale/Bake Sale
It's that time of year again for the Altar & Rosary Society Rummage Sale/Bake Sale. The big sale will be April 24-25. You may drop off your CLEAN and USABLE clothing.

Blessing of Easter Food
The traditional Easter meal foods will be blessed at St. Ambrose Church on Holy Saturday, April 4, at 11:30 a.m.

Knights of Columbus Fundraiser
K of CThe St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus is hosting a charity fundraiser through Ruby Tuesday in Streetsboro March 20-22 and April 17-19. Ruby Tuesday will return 20% of your total dining receipt to the St. Ambrose Knights; Cals will return 10%. The program benefits the K of C Scholarship fund and Garrettsville-Nelson Food Shelf. Simply download and print a copy of the approriate flyer and present it to the restaurant.

Bishop's Appeal for Catholic Charities and Church
Thanks to all those who responded to the Appeal to Catholic Charities and Church. If you have not yet made your commitment, please do so by dropping it off at the rectory or placing it in the regular collection basket. Extra commitment envelopes are available in the church vestibule.  

Women's Renewal
CRHPThe St. Ambrose/St. Michael Christ Renews His Parish Women's Renewal will be held on May 16-17, 2015 at Camp Asbury. Click here for online registration.

Family Bowling Party
St. Ambrose Parish Social Life Committee will be hosting a Family Bowling Party on Sunday, April 19, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Sky Lanes Bowling Alley. Everyone gets free shoe rental and two free games. Even if you don't bowl, it's a great way to socialize with other parishioners. Knights of Columbus
K of C• St. Ambrose Council 11801 - Meets the second (business) and fourth social) Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the St. Ambrose hall.
Windham K of C - The Windham Knights of Columbus meet the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the St. Michael hall.

Food Cupboard

The Windham Knights of Columbus has started an ongoing food drive through St. Michael’s Church. Canned vegetables, canned soup, cereal and peanut butter are the most needed items. However, any non-perishable items are fine. Please check the expiration date before donating. We would like to thank you for your generosity in advance.

Palm Sunday Dinner
Palm Sunday Dinner St. Michael Church is hosting their annual Palm Sunday Dinner on March 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. All are welcome! There will be turkey and dressing, cabbage rolls, pasta, salads, homemade desserts, and more. Please come and support St. Michael's Church. Adults $11.00, children 12 & under $6.00, children 5 & under are free. We are asking for donations of side dishes and desserts. We are also asking for helpers. There will be a Friday shift, two on Saturday and of course Sunday! For donations or to help please contact Tricia 330-326-1230 or Karen 330-326-2972.

We are asking for new (unused) gift items for our raffle table for the Chinese Auction at the St. Patrick's Day Dance. If you can help please contact Tricia Kendrick at 330-326-1230.

A Bingo "Free Space"
There will be no Bingo on Holy Thursday. Bingo will resume Thursday, April 9. Bingo is a parish function, and it is important to the success of St. Michael Church.

Bike Blessing
Our annual Bike Blessing at St. Michael Church is scheduled for Sunday, April 26. Rain or Shine! We need donations of pop, water, side dishes, and desserts (finger foods such as brownies, cookies, etc.). We are also accepting monetary donations to help defray the cost of the hamburgers and hot dogs. To help, please call Joan Duman at 330-326-2019.

Hall Rental
