Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults The R.C.I.A. is a formation process for adults (18 years of age and older) who wish to become Catholic. Classes are held in the rectory or church hall for learning, faith sharing and fellowship. The culmination of the R.C.I.A. is at the Easter Vigil at which time we will celebrate the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming Catholic and being involved in the R.C.I.A. classes, please call the rectory at 330- 527-4105.
CCD and Youth Ministry News
Youth Ministry will meet at the J. A. Garfield Elementary School Sunday, Nov. 23, at 10:00 am.
"Friends of Melana" - The Social Action Committee and our CCD program are again sponsoring a collection of new, small stuffed animals to be distributed to nearby children's hospitals this Christmas. Animals can be brought to CCD from Nov. 2 through Dec. 7 or placed under the Giving Tree in the church vestibule from Nov. 16 through Dec. 7.
Pennies from Heaven - This year, as in the past, we will be collecting pennies from Nov. 2 through Dec. 7 to purchase gift baskets for our St. Ambrose homebound parishioners. We are requesting that each child donate one dollar. This will total over $100.00 and we can purchase some very nice gifts. Please be generous.
Thanksgiving Day Mass Thanksgiving Day Mass at St. Ambrose will be at 9:00 am.
Christmas Ca$h raffle tTickets are sold at a cost of $10.00 each or six for $50.00. Beginning on Dec. 1st one ticket will be drawn each day. Tickets drawn Monday through Saturday win $50.00 daily; tickets drawn on Sundays win $100.00; and the winning ticket drawn on Christmas day wins $500.00! Winning tickets will be placed back into the drum for chances to win every day of December through the 25th. The funds generated through this raffle help defray the cost of the many social functions we have at our parish. Please be sure to pick up your envelope and purchase or sell as many tickets as possible. They may be returned anytime before Dec 1st.
Thanksgiving Giving Tree On Nov. 7, the Thanksgiving Tree will be put up in the vestibule of St. Ambrose and adorned with leaf tags stating food items that will help provide a Thanksgiving meal to individuals or families experiencing financial difficulty this holiday season. If you are able to donate, please choose a leaf and return the item (with leaf attached) to the tree by Sunday, Nov. 23. If you are experiencing financial difficulty and can benefit from this outreach, please do not hesitate to call Fr. Steve.
St. Ambrose Christmas Concert The annual St. Ambrose Christmas Concert will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 6:00 pm. Mark your calendars!
Save These Dates! The First Annual Christ Renews His Parish St Ambrose/St Michael Women's Renewal will be held on May 16-17, 2015 at Camp Asbury in Hiram. The renewal team will be hosting an Italian dinner at St. Ambrose hall on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 to raise funds for this event. Presale tickets will be available. More details coming soon.
Breakfast with Santa at St. Ambrose
The Knights of Columbus are once again hosting a Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10:00 am at the St. Ambrose church hall. Please bring a non-perishable item for the food shelf.
Help with Funeral Luncheons When we have funerals at St. Ambrose, a luncheon for the families is provided. We are looking for occasional help to serve the lunch, set up and or clean up afterward. If this doesn't fit your schedule, providing desserts for the family would also be appreciated. We would like to have a list of people for when this time comes up. Sister Parish, San Rafael On Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 7:00 pm in the church hall our parish welcomes Fr. Edward Brienz, director of missions and the propagation of faith for our diocese. We will discuss ideas to personalize and strengthen our relationship with our sister parish San Rafael, of Chaletenango El Salvador and begin planning a mission trip. Please plan to attend if you have questions, ideas, or are interested in helping in any way regarding this important missionary outreach.
Veteran's Gift Bag Donations The Pope Pius XII Assembly needs your help. They are looking for donations for their Annual Veteran's Christmas Party. We need your help in filling the gift bags! Items needed: puzzle books, decks of playing cards, combs and gripper footie (colors that could be worn by men and women). We need all donations to be placed in the marked boxes in the vestibule by Sunday, Dec. 7. Thanks in advance!

Food Cupboard The Windham Knights of Columbus has started an ongoing
food drive through St. Michael’s Church. Canned vegetables,
canned soup, cereal and peanut butter are the most needed
items. However, any non-perishable items are fine. Please
check the expiration date before donating. We would like to

A Bingo "Free Space" at St. Michael Because Thanksgiving Day falls on Thursday there will be no Bingo November 27. Bingo will resume on Thursday, December. 4.

Christmas and New Years Parties St. Michael's Church is hosting a dinner/dance on Saturday, Dec. 6, in the church hall. Buffet dinner will be at 6.30 pm and dancing at 7:30 pm.
