Please support the monthly Food Bank "Brown Bag"
On the first Sunday of the month, St. Ambrose parishioners show their generosity by “brown bagging” donations for the local food pantry. Please consider bringing a bag of non-perishable food or cleaning products. Just leave your bag in the vestibule as you arrive for Mass. Thank you!

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The R.C.I.A. is a formation process for adults (18 years of age and older) who wish to become Catholic. Classes are held in the rectory or church hall for learning, faith sharing and fellowship. If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming Catholic and being involved in the R.C.I.A. classes, please call the rectory.

Holy Year of Mercy (Dec. 8, 2015 - Nov. 20, 2016)
To celebrate the Year of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis, St. Ambrose will be collecting different items each month to be donated to those in need. During the month of July we are collecting school supplies. As always you, the parishioners, have been extremely generous. Thank you so much!

CCD and Youth Ministry News
  • CCD Wants You!! - Our religious education program is in need of co-catechists and/or aides to help in the following grades; kindergarten and grades 1, 3 and 5. Volunteers must be able to attend a short child protection class and pass a background check. Please call Jackie at 330-719-7115 for more information.
  • Youth Ministry Hosts Blood Drive - Our youth group will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, July 21. We need youth group volunteers to help out and make this drive successful. Please call Mrs. Kable at 330-527-4822 or 330-527-4105 if you would like to volunteer.
  • CCD and Youth Ministry Registration - Any student wishing to attend CCD (preschool to grade 8) or Youth Ministry (grades 9 to12) and is not currently attending must fill out a pink registration form found in the church vestibule. Place the registration form in the collection basket, drop it off at the rectory, or mail it to the church. Please include a copy of the student’s baptismal certificate. (Preschoolers must be age four by September 30.)

St. Joseph's Summer Festival - Randolph
...will be held on July 8, 9, and 10. Festival hours are Friday and Saturday: 4:00 pm until midnight and Sunday: 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

St. Joseph's Ox Roast Fair - Mantua
...will be held on July 15, 16 and 17. Festival hours are Friday: 6:00 pm until 11:30 pm, Saturday: 1:00 pm until 11:30 pm, and Sunday: noon until 10:00 pm.

School Supply Drive
Catholic CharitiesCatholic Charities of Portage County is asking for donations of school supplies for area children who are in need. If you would like to donate items, please bring them with you to Mass any weekend between now and Sunday, July 31. Items needed are: pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, notebook paper, binders, folders, rulers, crayons, markers, colored pencils, scissors, glue, glue sticks, lunch boxes, pencil boxes, book covers, book bags, etc. Thank you and God bless you.

Women's Renewal Potluck Picnic
The annual St. Edward and St. Lucy women's renewal potluck picnic will be held on Thursday, July 14 at 5:30 pm at the Mariapoch Shrine, 17485 Mumford Road, Burton, OH 44021. Please join us for a wonderful evening of fellowship, a delicious potluck meal, a visit to the shrine gift shop, the rosary, and a brief talk on "The Divine Mercy and the Jubilee year." All Ladies are welcome!

K of C Council 11801 Fundraiser
The St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus is hosting a charity fundraiser through Cal's restaurant in Garrettsville that benefits the K of C/Charles Abraham Scholarship fund and Garrettsville-Nelson Food Shelf. Download and print a copy of the Cal's flyer, dine at Cal's and present the flyer on the listed dates. Flyers are also available in the church vestibule.

K of C Scholarship Applications being accepted
Applications are being accepted for the yearly Knights of Columbus scholarship. This scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a graduating senior in this year's class, based on registered status of your family within St. Ambrose parish and a regular attendee of the Youth Group. The scholarship will be used for any higher education and will be distributed after a successful fall semester. To download guidelines and entry form (PDF), click here. K of C Meeting Times

   (social) Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the St. Ambrose hall.
Windham K of C - The Windham K of C meets the second and
   fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the St. Michael hall.

Food Cupboard
The Windham Knights of Columbus has started an ongoing food drive through St. Michael’s Church. Canned vegetables, canned soup, cereal and peanut butter are the most needed items. However, any non-perishable items are fine. Please check the expiration date before donating. We would like to thank you for your generosity in advance.

Spring Cleaning Raffle
St. Michael Church, Windham is conducting a Spring Cleaning Raffle. Approximate value is $400. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $20. Contact Karen at 330-326-2972 or Tricia at 330-326-1230.
