Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Those enrolled in the R.C.I.A. will meet Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 4:30 pm in the rectory.
Thanksgiving Day Mass Please make every effort to start your Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26) by attending Mass (SA) at 9:00 am. God is the Giver of all gifts. Please spend a few moments in prayer, giving thanks to God for all his blessings, especially the gift of his Son in the Holy Eucharist.
Advent Reconciliation Services Our Advent Communal Penance Service at St. Ambrose will be on Wednesday, Dec. 10, in the church. The Portage County Deanery will be holding two Advent Communal Reconciliation Services at the following locations:
• December 15th at Kent Newman Center in Kent.
• December 16th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Aurora.
All Commnal Penance services begin at 7:00 pm.
CCD and Youth Ministry News
CCD and Youth Ministry - No classes Nov. 29. Classes resume Sunday, Dec. 6.
"Friends Of Melana" - The Social Action Committee and our CCD program are again sponsoring a collection of new, small stuffed animals to be distributed to nearby children's hospitals this Christmas. Animals can be brought to CCD from Nov. 1 through Dec. 13 or placed under the "Giving Tree" in the church vestibule. This project is in memory of Melana Matson.
Pennies From Heaven - This year, as in the past, we will be collecting "pennies" to purchase gift baskets for our St. Ambrose homebound parishioners. We will be collecting money from Nov. 1 through Dec. 13. We are requesting that each child donate one dollar. This will total over $100.00 and we can purchase some very nice gifts. Please be generous.

Giving Tree The giving tree is in the vestibule of our church. When taking a tag from the tree, please write your name and the number of the tag chosen (on the form on the counter) to help us keep track of the gift tags. Please return the wrapped gift with the tag attached no later than Sunday, Dec.13.
St. Ambrose Christmas Concert The annual St. Ambrose Christmas Concert will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3:00 p.m. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this very popular concert.
Youth Choir Any child second grade and older is welcome to join the Youth Choir. There will be three rehearsals before the Dec. 6 Christmas Concert on Nov. 19, Nov. 23 and Dec. 3 at St. Ambrose from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Please come and join us with your "singing" voices!
Sister Parish In your Nov./Dec. contribution packets, there will be a specially marked envelope for those who wish to make a monetary donation to our brothers and sisters at our "sister parish" in El Salvador, San Rafael. You can be assured that whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated and will help further the mission of the Church in one of the poorest areas of our world.

Council 11801 Fundraiser The St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus is hosting a charity fundraiser through Cal's restaurant in Garrettsville that benefits the K of C/Charles Abraham Scholarship fund and Garrettsville-Nelson Food Shelf. The Windham Knights of Columbus has started an ongoing
food drive through St. Michael’s Church. Canned vegetables,
canned soup, cereal and peanut butter are the most needed
items. However, any non-perishable items are fine. Please

New Chair Lift A huge thank you goes out to St. Michael Ladies Guild for purchasing and the installation of a chair lift for the church hall. The hall is now handicapped accessible. May God continue to bless our Ladies Guild.
