Starting in September, 2024 the Portage North Faith Formation Program will be offered at two locations -- Aurora and Mantua. All parents will receive information regarding each program’s curriculum and will be asked to choose one for their children. Fr. Francis is aware that some feel that if faith formation cannot continue in their own parish this may hurt their relationship, their ties to their parish. Every family is different. If your only tie to your parish is your child’s faith formation, you may find it easier to change your registration. But the parishes that have tried this have found that most families have many reasons to belong to a parish, not just faith formation, and most will find a way to work with the new arrangement. Sharing our resources allows us to offer better programs.

Parishioners from any of the four parishes may choose a Faith Formation option from the two locations (Mantua or Aurora) that best suits your family’s needs for the school year. 

At the Mantua location (St Joseph Parish): 

• Twice per month - for grades K-8 on Sundays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. 

At the Aurora location (Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish): 

• Weekly for grades K-5 on Sundays from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. -or-  Mondays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. (Monday bus transportation available for Aurora residents only) 
• Weekly for grades 6-8 on Mondays from 5:45 to 7 p.m. 
• At-Home Family Program options for K-8 are also available. Please contact us for details.
